Keeps a freestanding unit steady. The aluminium cross brace is 1.2 × 1.2m and fits across the back of a Shelf Space unit. It helps keep the unit upright and stable when the unit is not fixed to a wall. It is delivered free anywhere in the country.
Use it on a unit you built from separate parts, as a replacement, or on any unit you'd rather not screw into the wall.

How to fit it
Fit the cross brace across the back of the unit. If your unit is fixed to a wall, you don't need one.
Add extra components
- Uprights: single uprights from R48 and double uprights from R71, in 650mm to 2.7m.
- Shelves: Standard shelf from R187 or Premium shelf from R223.
- Open bottom: a base connector from R26, to join the uprights at floor level without a bottom shelf.

Delivery
- Free nationwide delivery on every order, with no minimum spend.
- We make your order in our own South African workshop, usually within 1 to 3 business days. The courier then takes about 1 to 3 business days, and you get a tracking link by email.

Do I need a cross brace?
If your unit stands on its own and is not fixed to a wall, yes. If it is fixed to a wall, you don't need one.
Does my unit already have one?
Complete Shelf Space units 1.2m and taller come with a free cross brace. Buy one separately for a unit built from parts, a lower unit, or as a replacement.
