A complete workstation in one bay. The Tinker Station is a 2.1m-high solid pine unit with a solid work shelf to build, fix and craft on, three storage shelves, and a pegboard back with two pegboard sides to hang your tools around you. It's 924mm wide and comes in four depths, from 300mm to 600mm. It's made in South Africa from heat-treated pine, ships flat-packed, and is delivered free anywhere in the country.

Get the most out of it

These add-ons turn the tinker station into a full workshop. Choose the same depth as your station.

• Sit at it: leave out the bottom shelf and fit base connectors (from R26) between the uprights at floor level instead. That keeps the frame rigid and leaves knee room for a stool.
• Put it on wheels: a wheelie base shelf (from R179) underneath lets you roll it out and lock it in place.
• Drawers under the work shelf: a sliding drawer box (from R314) fitted just below the solid shelf, for screws, bits and small parts.
• More working space: a pull-out sliding shelf (from R269) slides out when you need extra room and back in when you're done.
• Tidy storage: a pine box shelf (from R314) keeps loose items from rolling off.

Frequently asked questions

Can I sit at it?
Yes. Set the solid shelf at desk height and use base connectors instead of a bottom shelf, so there's room for your knees and a stool.

Are pegboard hooks included?
No. The pegboard takes standard pegboard hooks and holders from any hardware store.

Can I add drawers?
Yes. A sliding drawer box fits under the solid work shelf, and a pull-out sliding shelf gives you extra work space.
