Standard Pine Shelving Unit – 5 Bays, 25 Shelves | 4568mm W × 200–600mm D × 1800mm H

A long run of solid pine shelving, built to grow with you. This 5-bay Standard shelving unit is 4,568mm wide and 1,800mm high, with 25 adjustable shelves (5 per bay) that each hold up to 100kg. Choose a depth from a slim 200mm to a deep 600mm. It's made in South Africa from heat-treated pine, ships flat-packed, and is delivered free anywhere in the country.

Use it as garage shelving, a pantry or linen wall, a stockroom rack, or storage in a room where a 2.1m unit is too tall. Need more space later? Add shelves or bays at any time. It's a modular system, not a one-off.

Why customers choose it

• Strong: each solid pine shelf holds up to 100kg when evenly loaded.
• Adjustable: 14 pre-drilled positions, 13cm apart, so you set the gap between shelves.
• Five bays wide: 4,568mm across, with the inner uprights shared between bays, so you get more shelf for your money.
• Five depths: 200, 300, 400, 500 or 600mm, priced on a simple scale.
• Freestanding or wall-mounted: two free cross braces and a free fastening kit come in the box.
• Repairable: every upright and shelf is sold separately, so you replace a part, not the unit.

Dimensions and specifications

What's in the box

• 25 × Standard solid pine shelves in your chosen depth
• 4 screws per shelf, to fix each shelf to the uprights

• Free fastening kit: Allen key, screws and wall plugs for brick or concrete walls, and spacers that sit behind the uprights so the unit clears your skirting board
• Assembly instructions, plus our video guide

The price of this unit is exactly the same as buying these parts one by one, so you never pay extra for the convenience of a set.

Freestanding or fixed to the wall

Don't want holes in your wall? Fit the two free cross braces across the back of two bays and the unit stands steady on its own. Prefer it fixed? Use the free fastening kit to secure it to a brick or concrete wall, and you won't need the cross braces. The spacers in the kit let the uprights sit flush against the wall even with a skirting board. For drywall or other wall types, use fixings made for that wall.

Grow it as you need it

• Add shelves: with 14 positions per upright, you can fit up to 9 more Standard pine shelves per bay (45 in total).
• Add accessories: a wine rack shelf, a pull-out sliding shelf or clear storage boxes. Check each one's depth options against your unit.
• Add bays: make it 6 bays or more with 2 more 1,800mm double uprights and a set of shelves per bay. WhatsApp us and we'll send you the exact parts list.

Frequently asked questions

How much weight can each shelf hold?
Up to 100kg per shelf, as long as the load is spread evenly.

Can I change the shelf heights later?
Yes. Each upright has 14 pre-drilled positions 13cm apart, so you can move shelves up or down at any time.

Does it need to be fixed to the wall?
No. Use the two free cross braces for a stable freestanding unit, or fix it to the wall with the free fastening kit. Either is included.

My wall has a skirting board. Will it sit flush?
Yes. The fastening kit includes spacers that sit behind the uprights to clear the skirting.

Is it hard to assemble?
No. It's a simple flat-pack with an Allen key included, and you can follow our assembly video step by step.

Can I paint or stain it?
Yes. The pine comes natural and untreated, so it takes paint, stain, wax or oil well.

Will it fit my space?
The unit is 4,568mm wide and 1,800mm high. Measure your space and allow a little clearance around it.
