Built for books, files and archive boxes. This 2-bay solid pine bookshelf is 1,835mm wide and 300mm deep, in three heights: 2.1m, 2.4m or 2.7m. It comes with 12 shelves and 40 dowel rods. Every bay has 6 shelves and side dowel rods that stop books and files from falling over the ends, and every size comes with a free cross brace and all fittings. It's made in South Africa from heat-treated pine, ships flat-packed, and is delivered free anywhere in the country.

Use it for a home library, a study, an office archive, a school or church library, or a shop wall. Everything is adjustable, so you can set the shelf spacing for paperbacks, hardcovers, lever-arch files or archive boxes.

Freestanding or fixed to the wall

Don't want holes in your wall? Fit the free cross brace across the back and the bookshelf stands steady on its own. Prefer it fixed? Use the free fastening kit to secure it to a brick or concrete wall. A full bookshelf is heavy, so we recommend fixing taller units to the wall.

Add extra components

Every part is sold separately, so you can build the bookshelf around your collection. Choose 300mm deep to match.

• Extra shelves: Standard shelf, R214 at 300mm deep, or a smoother Premium shelf, R255.
• Extra dowel rods: dowel sticks, R164 for a pack of 20, enough for one bay.
• Display shelves: an angled display shelf from R205, to show covers face-out.
• Drawers: a pine box shelf from R314 for stationery and small items.

• We make your bookshelf in our own South African workshop, usually within 1 to 3 business days. The courier then takes about 1 to 3 business days, and you get a tracking link by email.

Frequently asked questions

What are the dowel rods for?
They slot into the holes in the uprights at the ends of a shelf and act as bookends, so books and files don't slide off the sides.

Can I move the shelves later?
Yes. Every upright is pre-drilled every 13cm, so you can change the spacing at any time.

Can I paint or stain it?
Yes. The pine comes natural and untreated, so it takes paint, stain, wax or oil well.
