A long solid pine computer desk: a one-piece 1.8m pine desktop at 750mm desk height, with a sliding box drawer on one side and a pull-out keyboard shelf on the other. There's no bottom shelf, so your chair pushes right in. Sit at the keyboard side, slide your keyboard and mouse out to work, and keep stationery and chargers in the drawer next to you. Or choose a keyboard shelf in both bays for a desk for two. It's our 2-bay workbench cut down to desk height, so it's as strong as a workbench but made for working, studying or gaming. It fits a home office, a shared kids' study, a reception area or a small business. It's made in South Africa from solid, heat-treated pine, ships flat-packed and is delivered anywhere in the country.

How it's laid out

• Desktop: one solid laminated pine worktop, 1,800mm long and 610mm deep, at 750mm high (standard desk height).
• Left bay: a sliding drawer box straight under the desktop. The desktop is its lid, so there's no extra shelf in the way.
• Right bay: a pull-out sliding shelf just under the desktop for your keyboard and mouse.
• Open underneath: no bottom shelves. Base connectors join the uprights at floor level, so chairs and legs fit underneath.
• Frame: solid pine uprights with one double upright in the middle, cut to desk height, with aluminium cross braces at the back.

Can two people sit at it?
Yes. Choose a keyboard shelf in both bays and it's a desk for two.

Which depth should I choose?
The desktop is always 610mm deep. The depth you choose is the frame, drawer and keyboard shelf underneath: 400mm suits most rooms.

Can I paint or stain it?
Yes. The pine comes natural and untreated, so it takes paint, stain, wax or oil well.
